The enrollment deposit is 10% of net tuition and is due with the Enrollment Contract. It is non-refundable and is applied towards the student’s tuition. This fee, as per the contract, is to hold the student’s place at Rumsey Hall School. The tuition amount due July 15th should be reduced by the enrollment deposit.

Textbooks will be purchased by the school for all students for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents will NOT need to order any class books; however, those families with students in grades 6–9 will be charged a book fee of $225 due on July 15. The cost will cover the cost of all books, platform access, and digital licenses. All books will be provided in class at the start of the school year. Tuition Refund Plan

The Tuition Refund Plan (TRP) covers net tuition only and is required for all contracts with the exception of those that select the One-Pay Payment Plan. TRP is 1.7% of net tuition and is billed on July 1. You may calculate your expected TRP Payment as follows: (Tuition - FA) x .017 = payment. Transactions for student spending will be posted to an online account that is separate from the tuition account. This spending account is similar to a bank account. You will use a website called MyKidsSpending to fund your child’s account and view their account activity. Over the summer, communication will be sent to parents of all new students with MyKidsSpending login information. Suggested yearly amounts will also be communicated to allow funds to be deposited to this account by August 15th. Returning students’ accounts will remain intact. The account should maintain a positive balance at all times.

Examples of transactions that will post to this account are as follows:
* Medical –prescriptions, all medical bills not covered by your insurance
* Music, tennis, horseback riding lessons
* School Store purchases
* Student Activities – weekend trips, Bromley, Mohawk
* Travel – transporting to and from campus including, train stations or airports by faculty or livery
* Petty Cash for Travel – train tickets, meals when traveling, * UM (Unaccompanied Minor) fee
* Haircuts
*Textbooks and miscellaneous charges, ie. FedEx
* Testing fees including SSAT-registration fee for VIth Form and VIIth Form (8th and 9th Grades)

This account also allows for “pocket spending money” or allowances for your student. The weekly withdrawal amount is $20.00, unless otherwise notified by the parent or guardian. This amount can be changed for a specific week by contacting Gena Newman at gnewman@psdweblayouts.com, no later than the close of business on Wednesday of that week. The Student Bank is open every Friday. We discourage students from keeping money in their dorm rooms.

Statements or Payment Plan charges are not available within the Enrollment Contract in the Portal. The first available statement period is only visible on July 1, 2022 and this will be accessible and payable within the Portal. You may easily calculate your expected Plan Payments by following the prescribed formulas in the Payment Plans below.

• Option 1:  Full payment of annual tuition and fees, due July 15, 2022. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is optional.
• Option 2: Two payments, due July 15, 2022 and November 15, 2022. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is required.
  • Due July 15:  67% of net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit, plus full payment of fees.
  • Due November 15:  33% of net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit.
• Option 3: This plan is for Domestic Students only or any International Students with a domestic bank account. Enrollment in the Tuition Refund Insurance Plan is required.
  • Due on 15th of each month, July - March: net tuition (tuition - aid) after deposit divided by 9. All fees listed on the enrollment contract must be paid by July 15, 2022.  A non-refundable one-time fee of $40.00 will be charged separately to your account on July 15, 2022 along with your first monthly payment.  In the event of insufficient funds, you will be notified by the Business Office and a NSF fee of $25.00 will be charged to your tuition account.

All International Boarding Students are required to pay an all-inclusive $2,575.00 fee that covers international student health insurance and other fees.

All International Boarding Students are required to deposit a $5,000.00 fee that covers all incidental, out-of-pocket expenses during the Academic year. Unspent monies will be refunded.

Each boarding student receives a personal laundry bag from E & R Laundry. The weekly service includes: wash/dry/fold; professional shirt laundering and pressing; pants and/or skirts pressed and hung; dry cleaning. All boarding student tuition accounts will be charged the annual E & R Laundry fee of $1,089, due July 15th. To decline this laundry service, please contact Dean of Students, Mr. Perreault at 860-868-0535 Ext. 102 or pperreault@psdweblayouts.com. With confirmation of request, your account will be credited for the Laundry Fee for Boarding Students.

This program offers one-on-one instruction five times a week by Orton-Gillingham trained teachers. Where applicable, the student’s curriculum is individualized and directed towards the student’s learning differences. The annual fee for Language Skills is $7,300.00, billed July 1st and due July 15th.
